VMware vCenter Mobile Access – Now Available for Download.

VMware

A few days ago in my post here I mentioned that VMware’s vCenter Mobile Access (vCMA) product will be available for download in April.  This was the case at the time of writing it but vCMA Product Manager, Srinivas Krishnamurti has announced that the vCMA is ahead of schedule and is now available for download !  Why aren’t all projects like this?  ;)

As mentioned in my last post the beta of vCMA is free to download and use.

    Hi Maichkih,

Thanks for the suggestion – I think that sounds like a good idea.

Everyone: Would anyone else like to see a vCenter installation article? If so I’ll get one together.

    Cheers,

    Simon

    Hi Si,

To be honest it’s all in experimental stage at the moment ready for a refresh.

vCPA and vCMA are really nice applicances.

I’ve just taken delivery and my new CAT6 gear today :) got patch panel and telephone host panel and cabling from cablemonkey.co.uk. Hope to plan and fit it all in around the house/loft over the weekend. Part of the reason is I also want to push HDMI to tvs round the house using HDMI-CAT baluns.

My 2xML115 G5 + 2xiLo + 2x8GB RAM are still in there box from when they arrived from Servers Direct so still playing with my 2xML110 G4 for now.

At the moment I’m looking at getting my APC UPS working with ESX for controlled shutdown of the guests and hosts during a power outage.

Hmmmm maybe I shoul have filled out your “what’s your home setup” form post from a couple of weeks agao – sorry ;)

In fact I might post up my visio diagram of the setup on the forum once I have it planned out.

    Cheers

    Sony.

Great app, but how the heck do you turn off the pop up message once you have used it? There is no off or disable button, it won’t let you clear the message and save in the Tools/Send Message area. This is very frustrating, so that every time vsphere is opened up, the dang message pops up every time. I’ve even tried turning off the appliance and it still won’t go away.

If anyone knows how to get rid of it, I would be forever greatly appreciative.

    Thank you!
    justin
