I have in the past had hyperthreading enabled on the VMWARE ESX 3.0.1 (soon to upgraded to 3.5 UPD3) hosting server (6850), am I right in that this has a detrimental affect on virtualized SQL Server 2005 hosts??? I disabled it and any VM running Microsoft 2003 Server alone appears to have improved quite significantly. Running SQLIO I am now getting disk bottlenecks rather than CPU (which in the old days was always CPU). Have you had experience with this at all? Thanks Hi Si
