Well folks, I’m off to green pastures very shortly as I’ve been offered a position to join EMC as a vSpecialist. This is a very exciting prospect to join an exciting and dynamic global team of talented people headed up by the one and only Chad Sakac (@sakacc). The position gives me the opportunity to work with and immerse myself in a technology I am very passionate about, Virtualization. There is of course the added, icing on the cake that I will also work with some great Enterprise level IT hardware.

Business As Usual
You may be wondering if this will affect my TechHead blog? The clear answer here is that it is business as usual and if anything, I will now have more material (non-NDA of course) to blog about as I will be immersed in VMware vSphere on a daily basis. Working with and gaining more detail on the Vblock platform will no doubt prove to be extremely interesting so expect some posts around this as I start my journey of Vblock discovery.
I still have a large backlog of drafted posts from my recent HP and Gestalt IT Tech Days so have plenty of blogging work in the evenings and weekends to get these out the door. Of course I still own, run and use daily my home lab consisting of my trusty HP Proliant servers, Linksys/Cisco switches, OpenFiler and Iomega storage devices, so nothing new here also. So expect continued posts around running your own work or home virtualization labs.
The only change I do now have to make to the site is the inclusion of a disclaimer, which in fairness is standard practice anyway.
Thanks as always to all my readers, and I hope you enjoy being part of my new journey through reading my blog posts…
All aboard!
