After some initial problems around the downloading of the Microsoft Windows 7 beta (build 7000) yesterday (see this posting from ‘The Register’ for more details) it is now openly available for download by the public at large for the next 2 weeks. This Public Beta program was initially going to be limited to the first 2.5 million registered people but this limit has now been removed.
x86 and x64 versions of Windows 7 can be downloaded from Microsoft by following this link. Also, here are some useful Windows 7 related links:
- Windows 7 teams blog
- Paul Thurrott’s Super Site for Windows – Windows 7
- Windows 7 Microsoft TechNet Forum
I’m going to download and give it a look over the next week or so. Please share your thoughts and experiences with this beta with others by leaving a comment below. Thanks.
