Hi guys,

Im really interested in buying this ML110 G6 server.

Some people are reporting memory issues (using non-ECC memory) but some other people are reporting no problems using the same non-ECC memory!

Checking the link below, this guy installed 2 x4G modules of non-ECC kingston memory and they work fine for him. So, anyone has tested non-ecc memory and can share its results?

Im not interested in using ECC memory since its very expensive and I really dont need the features.

@Jimbo, thanks for the tip. My local dealer warned me of the same thing. If I get a lab going, its not something I can afford to upgrade yearly, but I would like to get a MB that doesn't limit me to just 16GB. Thanks again

Hello

Maybe I missed it above but has anyone noticed the new model 652011-S01 of HP ProLiant ML110 G6 Server? Seems to cost less everywhere I looked and still offers the same specs?

Is it still a good ESXI option under this new model?

Thank you

@Rixter, bear in mind that to get an E3 board to 32GB it will need 8GB UDIMMs, which are not currently available (other than at very mad money). Dell's T110-ii offers a similar spec.

Was your 5.0 PSOD on setup or runtime?

I'm not planning on using a NAS so can't help with NFS.
