Arnim Van Lieshout has written a really good article on performing an unattended upgrade of HP management agents on a VMware ESX U3 host. This can be particularly useful not to mention time saving when you have a large ESX estate that needs its HP management agents upgrading.
It also covers updating the Emulex/QLogic HBAAPI libraries because as Arnim points out “these HBA libraries are not part of the HP agents packages anymore since version 8.x”.
For those of you who use HP Proliants for your ESX hosts reading this article could be a real time saver!
