I’m off on holiday shortly – I wouldn’t have chosen to go during this turbulent time but it has been booked for almost 18 months well before any of the worlds economic unrest fell upon us and I have paid for it upfront.
I thought that this could be a good opportunity to try out an idea that I’ve had brewing in the back of my mind for some time so here it is…
I would like to introduce having TechHead ‘Guest Contributors’. Your Fame and Fortune awaits.. Hurray!
Well maybe not the fortune bit….
I thought it would be nice to get some variety in writing styles and content for you all and would give others a chance to submit articles that they’re interested in and wanted to share with other TechHead readers.
For many this would get around the time restraints of running a fulltime blog whilst getting your content out to a like-minded techie audience .
There will be one TechHead Guest Contributor each week though during times whilst I’m away it makes more sense to have a couple if possible to keep the content fresh.
Full Credit..
All articles will obviously be fully credited to yourself. You’re more than welcome to include a brief profile and photo of yourself – depending on how photogenic your feeling. But take heart that I have already got mine on the site so the standard is already set low.
).
So what am I after?
Subject/Content Matter: Anything Tech – though something to do with Virtualization or hardware would be good.
Size of article :Not too fussed
What’s Cool: Have fun and enjoy writing the article. Real world experiences and/or references (though not essential) are good along with pictures or screen shots (but once again, not essential).
What’s Not Cool: Attacks on individuals or companies.
Other stuff: Please credit any sources or quotes you may use in your article so as not to annoy others.
Sounds Cool ! What now?
If your interested drop me a line about what the subject is on – just in case it’s on something I’ve already got drafted up. Unlikely, but just in case. I will then set you up with your very own shiny ‘Contributors’ account on the TechHead site so you can enter it directly.
I will double check the article for you just to get another set of eyes on it and to pick up any spelling or grammatical errors – so please don’t take offence.
Then we’ll schedule to have it published on the site and let the TechHead readers behold your article!
I thought I’d throw it out there to see what the response is like. I will continue to write articles as per normal though thought this could be something fun to do.
Any queries or suggestions drop me an email – details at the top of the page.
So get those articles rolling in and become a TechHead Guest Contributor !
