Here is a new site from the recent startup company VKernel. The site is called CompareMyVM and can be found here.
Their site blurb probably best sums what it’s about:
“CompareMyVM is a free tool that allows you to compare your VMware ESX Server virtual machine resource allocations with that of the community at large. You can compare by application category to see how your peers are allocating resources to gain the most efficiency out of their environments. Your submissions are anonymous.”
I have uploaded my lab ESX VM’s (User: TechHead) to add to the increasing list of stats that others have contributed. It could be quite useful once more stats start rolling in from the VM community (it’s still a bit lean at the moment) and the quality and accuracy of the measurements gathered improves. Worth checking out.
